Hey! On last Sunday I've Attended an AWESOME Entrepreneurs Meetup In Co-living space Vilnius!
This meetup was held in Co-living place (a big loft where numerous entrepreneurs live and work). They also prepared some snacks and you had to buy a real ticket to attend this event (https://www.facebook.com/events/547746628950612/)!
Everyone you said "HI" was an awesome person that you couldn't stop talking with! This event really reminded me how much I LOVE PEOPLE.
The reason I've attended this event is that I wanted to find out if my research (from my last vlog) was correct. Unfortunately, I was enjoying myself so much that I totally forgot my agenda.
BIG TREND of hyper-realism, hyper-authenticity - a need for REAL connection
I think there is a BIG TREND of hyper-realism, hyper-authenticity, people want to hear news from other people with real personalities and authentic intentions:
- Instead of theaters and cinema's people want to create events in their own house, sell tickets and invite strangers!
- Instead of going to restaurant people want to sell tickets to their own dinners with strangers!
- Instead of going to a concert people want to meet up and singing together some baltic folk songs!
WHY IS THIS TREND HAPPENING?
Because we are living in a world where LIE/SCAM/FAKE is the norm.
- We see photos with Ferries and Rolex's from Instagram stars, who try to live up to their on created fake persona.
- Reality shows are gaining gigantic views from faked stories.
- CORPORATE MEDIA is pushing propaganda and fake news with hidden agendas.
- All political parties are controlled by the same hands, and no matter what you elect everything stays the same.
- We open a browser tab and try to figure out whether Donald Trump is earnestly seeking the presidency or just promoting his “brand”
- BIGGEST BRANDS that neglect social media are going bankrupt, and are taken over by small Instagram/facebook e-com startups
- currency (BITCOIN) created by anonymous guy/group from internet forums is more trustable then all worlds established banks.
The "established" world is experiencing a major fall down of trust.
A Platform with Crowd-Sourced News By Locals For Locals
Seeing this trend I think there is a big market need for local news. In fact, I'm not the only one seeing this: https://gaps.com/local-monthly/
I'll ready did a lot of research and I see that many people are seing this trend and trying to capitalize on this!
That's why I think CORPORATE MEDIA is dying and it will be quickly changed by other platforms. And I think it will be some form of crowd-sourced news locally.
That's why I want to test this idea in Vilnius and if it works out I'll create a platform for local media news in every bigger world city.
