They have to pay 220 thousand Won or about Rp 2.5 million a month.

In South Korea, the nominals are very cheap compared to other residences.

Sim Kyudong himself had lived in Goshitel for 3 years while in Seoul.

He met different types of people while living there, one of whom was a math teacher.

Sim revealed that the mathematics teacher was in his fifties, he was smart and graduated from reputable university.

But the older, the status and value as a teacher of mathematics decline.

Teachers are still young and not less intelligent is what is enjoyed by the public.

Sim explained, those who settled in the goshitel because of economic distress will be alienated from the community.

"They will not understand, I think I should tell you about it," he said.

Incidents of suicide also often occur in goshitel because of economic problems.

In 2015, the body of a woman in her 20s was only discovered two weeks after her death.

He is reportedly killed due to malnutrition and has economic problems.

Sim claimed to be depressed and did not care about cleanliness during his stay at goshitel.

"Staying in goshitel completely changed my perception and way of thinking," explains Sim Kyudong.

"They are people who have no choice, their story is too complicated to ignore," he said.
