The defeat at the Stadio Olimpico did not prevent the Reds from getting into the Champions League final this season.
Liverpool successfully secured a move to the Champions League final this season despite a 4-2 defeat of AS Roma in a semi-final semi-final duel at Stadio Olimpico on Thursday (3/5) early morning GMT.
The Reds remain on course for the tournament's final to face Real Madrid thanks to grabbing a 7-6 aggregate lead, after they won their first meeting at Anfield last week.
