Nintendo has officially announced that it will release the SNES Classic Mini. The release date is set for September 29 at a price of $79.99. The SNES Classic will come with 21 games and two controllers, with the never before released game Star Fox 2.
Here is a list of the 21 games included:
-Contra III: The Alien Wars
-Donkey Kong Country
-EarthBound
-Final Fantasy III
-F-Zero
-Kirby Super Star
-Kirby’s Dream Course
-The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Mega Man X
-Secret of Mana
-Star Fox
-Star Fox 2
-Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting
-Super Castlevania IV
-Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts
-Super Mario Kart
-Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
-Super Mario World
-Super Metroid
-Super Punch-Out!!
-Yoshi's Island
So what's included in the box?
The SNES Classic includes one HDMI cable, One USB power cable and two Super NES Classic Controllers. As you can remember last year with the NES Classic Edition, the console only came with one controller and the cable were very short, which did sit well with players. This year however, the cables on the controllers are much longer so you won't have to sit so annoyingly close to the screen while playing.

As you can imagine, pre-orders will be at major retail stores and websites including, Walmart, Target, Gamestop, Best Buy and online at Amazon. No word yet when pre-orders will begin, but I expect it to be soon. Nintendo has stated that they will make significantly more SNES Classic Edition consoles than they did last year with the release of the NES Classic Edition, but I'm still expecting them to sell out fast. I also expect scalpers to be ready to make a huge profit on Ebay selling these consoles at 3 times the cost to make a huge profit.
I will keep you posted as more news becomes available.
Awesome
this time i will be smarter. I got the last NES Classic mini in my home state for the offiical price. this time i will use all pro-order offers and try to buy 12 of this. 1 for playing, 1 for collecting and 10 for ebay
