This looks like a trap for the deep state sociopaths actually. There is a lot of communication between Israel and Russia, and Putin has all sorts of ways to target specific people/interests in Israel, so actually starting a war is beyond Israel's capabilities, but its deep state wants to spread hatred against Israel to secure their power and this is also beneficial for Assad, Hezbollah and even Russia as they can also use it to strengthen their power.
There is also another reason behind Trump's attacks against the Iran deal: There is a ton of corruptions there, and people from the previous administration are making tons of money from the nuclear deals they made. Trump is going after their income. Note how Trump has stated that he isn't pressuring the EU to sanction Iran and an Iran backed by China and Russia is of course insane to attack, but it might be possible to push Iran to stop dealing with Trump's enemies. Same strategy as against Kim Jong-un who used to have CIA agents taking pictures with his rockets...
And don't forget the Turkish problem! Erdogan used to trade oil with ISIS and he was even allied with CIA's Gülen a long time ago, but now he has pissed off US deep state, EU, Russia, Assad and most likely the Trump-administration too. Erdogan is still pushing for regime change in Syria and is, despite the rhetoric, totally aligned with Israel when it comes to Syria. What use is a "NATO-member" that transits Russian gas and buys all their weapons from Russia? Putin freaking hates Erdogan personally, if one is to judge his body language when they meet. So there must be discussions about how to deal with Erdogan between Russia and USA. And Trump's generals want Kurdistan, so I think the goal is to push Assad and Russia to give that up in return for protection against Turkey and Israel.
And there are (yet again) rumors about big moves in USA against the criminals in the government this week, so it's good for Trump to make his enemies show their colors.
