The boring company will build the first hyperloop tunnel

Elon musk made a new company called "the boring company" see my article about it if you want to know more.

Basically, they dig tunnels. And he just go the government aproval to build a tunnel to link dc to nyc. And they will build the first hyperloop inside.

hyperloop

An hyperloop is a new form a public transportation, it's a train that hovers in a low pressure tube to get as little friction as possible. These can go extremely fast : over 700 mph or 1100 km/h.

To give you a bit of a comparaison : To travel this distance it currently takes 55 minutes using a plane and 3 hours using a train. and 4 hours and 20 minutes via car.

With the hyperloop It would take 29 minutes.

29 minutes

And it runs off electricity making it more energy efficient, cleaner and produce less disturbance (noise/light) than any other source of transportation cited above.

and he got the oral authorization to do that. Which means that it's far from done but it's a big step forward because government officials want it and are looking forward to it.

He plans it to be City center to city center in each case, with up to a dozen or more entry/exit elevators in each city.

This would be the first hyperloop in the world and a will certainely lead the way to more of those being built which is always a good thing !

Thanks for reading ! What do you think ? Are you as hyped as I am ?

You've gotta love Musk. What a guy!

Elon Musk is a great man, impressive CEO and a very inspiring person! I hope to see his future projects in the everyday life. And yea - gonna buy myself a Tesla as soon as I have $$$ for it! :)

Well, the Philly government said they'd never been asked by Musk about it. Not sure which governments he may have gotten verbal approval from.

Having this actually exist and work as described would be utterly fantastic. There's a whole lot of paperwork, legal hurdles, finding, and engineering to go before it is done.
