The hotel name is 'Aurora Station'. The announcement was made to build a space hotel in the space 2.0 conference on Thursday in San José, California, USA. The US space technology entrepreneur Orion Span will build this hotel. This space hotel hosts six people (including 2 crews) together for 12-day space tour. There will be a chance to be there as the first guest in 2022.
Orion Span Chief Executive Frank Bunger said that making space for everyone is their goal. After the launch of the space hotel, there will be an opportunity for everyone to stay there at a low cost. You have to spend about 100 million US dollars for two weeks. It is beyond of the imagination. But Orion Span claims that the real astronaut experience can be found in it.
Bunger said that the astronauts need special 24 months training for space station. But they down it in three months. The thrilling journey of 12 days is to fly Low Earth Orbit (LEP) which is 200 miles above from Earth’s surface. From there you can see the wonderful view of the world. The hotel will travel around the world in every 30 minutes. That means the hotel guests will see sunrise and sunset 16 times in every 24 hours. There will be a high speed wireless internet system. Live video chat can be done directly on the earth. Besides, they will be honored after returning to the world. In addition to having fun with the emotional feeling, guests can freely see the North and South Pole cover scenes from inside the hotel.
Orion Span has started taking money in advance from those who do not want to lose this opportunity. 80 thousand dollars will be kept in advance. But if someone cannot pay the full money later, then that money will be refunded.
However, some other organizations like Orion Span have been working to provide space travel experiences. The Axiom Space is one of them. Bunger says the Aurora station will not serve as a hotel only; It will work for research and technical studies of a space firms in space.
