A toy boat is in the spotlight for successfully navigating the ocean for almost a year.
Adventure, the name of the toy ship, began its journey from Peterheard, Scotland in May last year to the North Sea.
Adventure made two Scottish boys, Ollie Ferguson (8) and Harry Ferguson (5) with the help of his father.
In order to survive in the vast ocean, the three of them gave the ship a number of modifications.
Adventure even has a GPS that allows it to send a signal to tell its existence every other day.
In order to continue to wade through the ocean, Ferguson brothers wrote down a message that was inserted in a waterproof wrapper.
The message contained a plea to return the Adventure to the ocean if one day the toy ship was stranded around the offshore waters.
Since its launch, Adventure has sailed in the Atlantic Ocean and stopped on three continents.
He was once in Denmark and found a family. But after that, Adventure back across the ocean to get to Sweden and Norway.
From Norway, Adventure continues its adventure to Mauritania in Africa. Currently the toy ship is in the vicinity of Guyana and continues its journey to the Bahamas, a country in the Caribbean that in the past was known as a pirate hometown.
To document the adventure adventure ship adventure, Ferguson created a Facebook page.
The page has been followed by a number of international communities. They even helped Ferguson keep an eye on Adventure if one day the toy boat sailed into their territory.
A week ago, the signal sent by Adventure had disappeared. Some people even fear if it is the end of Adventure adventure.
But on Sunday (15/04/2018), signals from Adventure re-emerged so the adventure may continue.
