RE: UNICEF "Children's rights campaigner" - Is Jailed For Rape of Boy, 13. Why It's Tough To Find An Honest Charity & What We Can Do To Help Fix This.

in #news7 years ago (edited)

some years ago, a friend found out that boys in a home in his neighborhood was abused. He took the necessary steps and informed authorities. since the alleged abuser was rich and powerful, it took some time to inform the board of trustees. He wasn't sure who to trust.

In the end, some changes were made, but the abuser wasn't charged nor punished.

In lots of other home, food contributions for children were sold. Lots of abuse. Blockchain can't solve these types of issue.

People who donate, don't normally check the background or accounts, which is part of the problems. Another is the trustee don't do their job, to have regulars audits. If the charity is defensive and don't have proper records, it is already a red flag, and donation must stop.
