Excellent video and topic! It's a lot of work to put out a good video, and also professional equipment costs money. I'd absolutely love to see DTube support its content creators a bit better.
I'm posting to DTube as well as Youtube, so I haven't completely left there. I personally am focusing a bit more on DTube and DLive now though. (I've had a little bit more success with DLive so far but I think it just came down to being lucky. DLive seems inconsistent about when I get upvotes from them. LOL)
I post not for the money, but because I'm passionate. However, I do think compensation for good content is important if I am to keep making it. Or if I am to be encouraged to improve it, even getting $6 SBD worth of upvotes per video would be a big help. And, I'm not even getting that on a regular basis.
I do have a small channel, and while I'm in the middle of a web development project, it's been hard for me to focus on a lot of real content beyond DLive streams. But I have been surpised when I've put out content that I thought would be good and get more support than it ended up getting.
Thank you @spenceryan for bringing it to the attention of the community and to you, @dnews as well as @reseller for discussing this.
I do realize I have some things working against me (weight issues, an autism spectrum disorder, and mild cerebral, two out of three of these issues which affect speech slightly), but I'm working on it where I can and won't be giving up.
