Climate change affects us more than you think.
A couple of very interesting studies were published that relate how climate change directly affects human physiology.
The first of them found after analyzing several groups of students that those who lived in rooms without air conditioning during a heat wave had worse results in a series of cognitive tests compared to students who lived in rooms with air conditioning; In other words, the heat seems to diminish our cognitive abilities temporarily, why it is unknown but it is speculated that it could be due to the fact that during the heat waves or in those countries where the average temperature is higher, it sleeps less and worse, where the dream is essential to perform well.
And what the second study did was to study the monthly suicide rates in Mexico and the US in recent decades, finding that suicide rates increase by up to 2.1 percent for each degree centigrade increase in average monthly temperature, remember that correlation does not always imply causality, but in this case the evidence is very strong.
