The CERN CMS experiment is able to observe for the first time direct interaction between the higgs boson and the top quarks.
Let's recapitulate a bit to understand the relevance of this finding, when we asked ourselves decades ago why things had mass, the standard model and a very clever man suggested the existence of the higgs boson.

The value of the interaction between the higgs boson and a top quark, the heaviest elementary particle we know, was measured for the first time and the number obtained was very close to the predicted, this translated means that our knowledge about where the mass of the particles, it is solidifying and moving forward well, but it does not mean that the standard model is definitive or that in general terms we have advanced a lot.
It is a small piece that fits into a puzzle that we do not know how big it can be and that maybe pieces are missing.
