John Sneisen and I report from Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park on the alarming number of earthquakes striking the super volcano over the past week.
If Yellowstone's super volcano were to burst, it would forever change the face of the earth. It could lead to the extinction of life on earth. But the question is, is the volcano ready to burst? The top experts claim it's overdue by about 200,000 years, but is it?
What do these experts really know? Doesn't nature know better?
John and I dig into the realities of the inevitable super volcano and why it proves humanity to be quite insignificant. Is this a depressing revelation? No. If anything, it's inspirational. It just means we as humans need to live our life to the fullest. Enjoy the little moments and search for the big moments. We may be specs in the universe but we are everything to our surroundings and those who wander those surroundings alongside us.
Wow, thats nuts, 230 Earthquakes sounds really high even though they are tiny ones.
If that big one were to happen, I assume that the ash-cloud would be unprecedented and last for a loooong time...
Most likely more than 100 years of ash covering the Earth, causing a dark ice age and eliminating agriculture for the most part.
Not to say there wouldn't be some possible future innovative solutions.

I too have been monitoring this, very interesting. I want to drive out to YellowStone one day in the near future..Always wanted to see it... I am looking forward to catching some nature and hitting the good old American Highways this summer if I have time. Hope it does not blow anytime soon. Looking forward to more reports.

It's definitely worth seeing. It takes a few days to properly see. It's incredibly extensive.
I certainly hope it waits a few more thousand years before it blows. It's hard to say but the more we worry about it the less we accomplish. I say, let's live life and if it happens, we'll either be gone or have to adapt. I'm not too worried. I'm writing this at this very moment in the blast zone. :P
