One of the things Manchester United is known for is spending good money when it comes to the wages of their players which is why they have been paying Henrik Mkhitaryan up to the tune of £200,000 per week.
To show how keen Arsene Wenger is in securing the services of the Armenia international in the swap deal that saw Alexis Sanchez moving in the opposite direction, the Gunners’ boss is willing to top up Mkhitaryan’s weekly wages.
Mkhitaryan, who has endured one of the toughest seasons in his career at Old Trafford, is assured of securing a constant and active position in the first team at the completion of his transfer this January. The remainder of his deal with Manchester United has also been finalized as he will be paid off in full.

When Wenger was asked whether paying the wages of the inbound Manchester United midfielder would be a tough obstacle to surmount he refuted that claim, saying that it would not be a problem at all.
Mkhitaryan has expressed his delight in moving over to the Emirates in this dramatic move and has always been motivated by how the Arsenal team play coordinated games all the time. When he spoke at his unveiling, Mkhitaryan also indicated that he is more than ready to compete for silverware with the Premier League club.
The current highest paid Arsenal player is Alexandre Lacazette, but there are indications that this could change when Mkhitaryan finalizes his move to the Gunners.
In a related development, there are speculations that German player, Mesut Ozil, is set to demand an increase in his wages to match Mkhitaryan. The contract of the Gunners midfield talisman, according to reports, is due to expire at the end of this season.
The future of the 29-year-old at the Emirates is not guaranteed at the moment and would be free to negotiate a move away from Arsenal. Manchester United and several other clubs are currently eyeing the German international, and World Cup winner for a likely January swoop.

But with Alexis Sanchez transfer to Manchester United all is all but completed, the Gunners are looking to renew talks with Ozil and get him to commit his future to the Premier League club. Sanchez has gone ahead to sign a four-and-a-half-year deal at Manchester United.
But presently, the exact details of what Henrik Mkhitaryan has agreed with the Gunners are still unclear. The 29-year-old Armenian started the 2017/2018 campaign with a lightning opening as he quickly registered five assists in his first three Premier League football games. But afterwards, the midfielder began struggling for additional game-time under Mourinho in the following months.
Inter Milan as well as his former club, Borussia Dortmund have expressed their keen interest in the midfielder. But Mkhitaryan had to spend about 48 hours deliberating over a transfer to the Emirates. Since the Armenian’s desire was for Arsenal to match the wages, he collects at Old Trafford, and Wenger has agreed to it and even promised to top it up, signing up with the Gunners was no longer avoidable.

Sometimes you just need to make a change, this one could turn out to be a win win for both teams, depending on what other moves they make
Manchester United has been creative in the offensive,
and Arsenal has gotten fast.
I think this is a good deal for each other.
Glad to have Mhki at Arsenal.... I think arsenal had a good deal knowing that we could have lost Sanchez and got nothing if he finished his contract... Kudos to A. Wenger he fixed his mistake kind of :))
I see Ozil renewing his contract too... He has always show he loves the club, its just a matter time. His wages shouldn't be an issue.
What's your take on the swap deal @jwolf... Who do you think had a better deal?
Thanks for the update :))
Very useful article! I believe that MU in this case has more than Arsenal. It is worth noting that Alexis grew up very much in the Arsenal and was the most important player in the club. I agree that Manchester United is developing an appropriate club for him. Let's see how it works with the "translator" - Mourinho.

For Mkhitaryan it was a really difficult season and the change of the club should give it a new motivation to make it to the starting lineup. I hope that he will succeed and that Wenger will be able to build a team that will start fighting for titles.
I really respect these two players and I wish them a good season, fewer injuries and more assistants and goals =)))) Good luck to them!
Thank you for the article!
I'm an Arsenal fan and I'm so much delighted with this deal.
Still keeping fingers crossed over Aubameyang..
I'm a United fan and I am ok with him leaving the team too!
I think this is a good deal
I think so too
Glad you agree
Money talks. If you have large fund you can always keep good players in your team. God save the Queen.
@jwolf
Just started to follow you after reading your post.
Good post 🤗
Love manchester united. They don't do mistake.
Are you kidding me? There have been countless of mistakes, I'm not judging as no one is perfect, but it doesn't sound right saying they don't make mistake.
I foresee another 1-1 or 2-2 draw game, but I expect Arsenal to dominate most part of the game though.
I like it 👍
CR7 for life . football is my drug Manchester United is my drug dealer :P. nice information @jwolf

Good deal for manchester united!
Solid signing, he's gonna take arsenal up. http://www.scorebat.com/team/arsenal/
Alexis one of the best paid players in the premier. Tremendous acquisition of Manchester United, hopefully the golden years will return.
I feel this is a good deal for both team and both players.. Sanchez needs to add more silverware to his name and i doubt he'd get that done at arsenal and mkhitaryan needs more playing
For 15 years I am a Arsenal fan. I think the team got a good player for the vacant position. It is worth noting that after half a year Sanchez could leave for free.
I think this "exchange" would benefit both of the sides and I'm kinda amazed to see how cooperative are rival teams in premier league.
I'm more of a fifa fanboy rather than footbal one but let's see how this is going to affect the teams in the future.
that's cool you just shared the news earlier today :D
Hi I am new here. As Arsenal fan, according to all facts to this trade, it was good for both sides. Because nowadays players are very expensive.
But Arsenal shown again their lack of top level development, because Wenger himself was like.. and Pires said, that Alexis wanted to stay in London but his attitude was about strengthening the team.
So I dont know what really happens.
But gl to Alexis and I also hope that our style of game will suit Henrik well and he will shine more than ever. He is in the best age to be the top level playmaker and he will play with ozil. Nothing is better for him now.
Hello BECCA :-)
am new at steemit. I ll be pleased if you find some time to check my intro and first post focused on personal development. I hope you will enjoy that.
I want to make this clear, for those who are thinking Manchester United did a better business compared to arsenal, with no disrespect to Alix Sanchez, Mkhitaryan is a very talented player. He was the best player in the German Bundesliga for the 2015/2016 season,he started very bright for Manchester United in the English premier league 2017/2018 season. the reason for his recent drop in form could have been as a result of player and coach relationship or environment, so it is too early to make conclusion on who did a better business between the both clubs.
