I just got to read this news about new development on Google vs Oracle saga over the use of freely available Java Software code which we thought has already ended 2 years ago.

The US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has put a new life in the case which has been previously won two times by Google. The case is about Google violating copyright law by using the Java API of Oracle in order to create the Android Mobile Operating System.

But Google has time and again stated that the Java use it has done is under fair condition. This fact was also agreed upon by a jury in 2016. Before that, Google has already won the case that Oracle had put on in 2010. Oracle has been previously demanding $9 billion for the damages while it has also been suggesting for broader software development world.
