Maybe the issue is feeling tired of having to fulfill a role of what a person with a penis or vagina is supposed to be?
It might be less society feeding it as programming, and more of an internal response examining millions of peoples personal experiences growing up that never felt like they fit in to the concepts they were once told they had to be to be accepted.
