I'm skating down the 16th street mall in downtown Denver. Just passed an anti-Trump march. Lots of LGBT and feminist signs. Lots of "Trump hates" and "investigate Russian connection" signs. Not a single sign about the U.S. abetted genocide in Yemen, escalated by Trump. Not a single sign about arming al Qaeda in Syria while joining Russia's bombing campaign. Not a single sign about massive increases in war department spending. Nothing left of the left I imagined joining in high school in the seventies. Didn't think to snap a picture with my phone.
and here we thought the anti-war left would re-emerge.
