Writer Kazuo Ishiguro won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2017. Ishiguro's work is praised by the Swedish Nobel Academy as a work with great emotional power and has found an illusionary sense of the relationship with the world.
In addition to receiving the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2017, he has also received four Man Booker Prize nominations and won an award in 1989 for his novel The Remains of The Day.
His novel, Never Let Me Go has also been adapted into a very famous film. In 2008, The Times also put Ishiguro in the 50 greatest British writers since 1945.
Kazuo Ishiguro has written seven books that have been translated into more than 40 languages. His latest work entitled The Buried Giant was published on March 3, 2015 in the United States and England.
Ishiguro was born in Nagasaki, Japan, but his family moved to England in 1960 when he was five years old. In addition to being a novelist, he is also a screenwriter and short story writer.
He is also one of the most famous contemporary English-language fiction writers in the world.
