The recent Hard-Fork vs Non Hard-Fork debate has withoutdoubt taken center stage in the Ethereum ecosystem over the last couple of weeks. Moving forward, we would like to take this opportunity to clarify our stand on the issue as an Ethereum BlockExplorer.
After looking at the various community “signals” (but not limited to) such as the :
1.Carbonvote.com community vote
2.The various mining pool votes
3.Default Fork settings of ALL major clients such as Geth, Parity, cpp-ethereum and ethereumJ.
It is of our interpretation given the available data sets at this point of time, that the majority favors a hardfork. As such, EtherScan will be using the default settings of the latest client versions that we currently run which supports the Hardfork by default.
We hope that Post-Fork era, the community remains united and continues forward building dapps and growing the ecosystem.
