What a thoughtful piece @melnesimo. As one who lives in the UK I see first hand how attacks like this colour people's thinking, turning one against another - and after all, that's the whole point behind them. The only way we, as individuals, can fight against such warped ideology is to not let it come between us. I'm not just talking about some inane comments on Twitter or Facebook about fighting hate but rather the everyday things we can do such as treating people we meet as we would like to be treated ourselves. Every little bit builds into one big whole. Thanks for this timely post.
