This was bound to happen at some stage. It is an issue that has to be addressed in one way or another. However, more thought must put into redistribution. Give land only to black people who can produce. I would favour the following among others
- Those with experience working at managerial levels at farms
2.Communal farmers with exceptional production history but are constrained by the size of their land. - Young people with agricultural qualifications that have a significant practical component.
Where possible, it would serve the white farmers well to take some proactive measures like
1.Offering fertile pieces of land which they not utilising
2.Offering apprenticeship to young black agricultural graduates.
You are right. Working together is nothing new. We as South Africans black and white understand each other much better than anyone else. Political interference is the cancer of the citizens of ZAR.
