QaShontae Short, a woman from Michigan (USA), filed a lawsuit against Richard Jordan for jilting her and is demanding $10,000 in compensation for the "emotional distress" she suffered from him.
Short filed the lawsuit in 2020, in which she claimed that Jordan's behavior deliberately hurt her, since the man did not show up for the appointment and left her alone on the birthday of her mother, who had recently died.
The controversial hearing, which was held online, was assigned to Judge Herman Marable Jr. After the plaintiff, quite excited, presented her case, Judge Marable transferred the lawsuit to circuit court.
Now the woman must pay the costs of transferring the hearing, in 56 days or else, her case will be dismissed.
