In a situation with a longtime US ally and NATO member that is spiraling further out of control, a group of lawyers tied to Turkish Pres. Erdogan have filed formal charges against a number of US Air Force officers who are stationed at Turkey’s Incirlik Air Base.
The complaint accuses them of having ties to various terrorist organizations. They go on to claim the troops are in league with the banned Gulenist organization.
The Turkish Lira responded with another huge move downward well past $7. We didn't even hold a $6 handle for 24 hours...panic has to be setting in at this point with the average citizen.
Citizens holding Gold & Silver in Turkey are better prepared to survive there during this time and this should serve as a reminder to the West to prepare now. Once everyone else figures out that the dollar is just as big of a Ponzi, its too late, the exits are way to small.
Its collapsing as it should, look at the money printing spree the've been on the past few years even before all hell broke out there...
According to an article on www.military.com HERE the lawyers are seeking a temporary halt to all military flights leaving the base and access to execute a search warrant, according to court papers filed last week by the Association for Social Justice and Aid. The group is a well-known, non-governmental organization made up of backers of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The court papers accuse the American officers and NCOs cited of having connections to the FETO group allegedly run by Gulen and trying to "destroy the constitutional order" of Turkey.
The 60-page criminal complaint seeks the arrest of:
- Col. John C. Walker
- Col. Michael H. Manion
- Col. David Eaglen
- Col. David Trucksa
- Lt. Col. Timothy J. Cook
- Lt. Col. Mack R. Coker
- Sgt. Thomas S. Cooper
- Sgt. Vegas M. Clark.
Air Force Capt. Amanda Herman, spokeswoman for the base stated on Friday evening:
"We continue to carry out our mission here at Incirlik Air Base, and we are proud of the relationship we have with our Turkish military partners."
I'm anxiously awaiting the Trump tweet storm that can't be far behind...Erdogan is now toast, he just doesn't know it yet...$10 here we come, much faster than even I thought possible. This is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.
I am Lord @matthewwarn and I have Stackitis...but there are worse problems to have in life...like owning fiat Lira.

This is getting interesting. Our companies is negotiating many joint ventures in Turkey plus millions in additional work inside the country. Will have to keep on top of this as it could effect our entire supplier base. Late last year, there was a restriction in USA visa's into Turkey, anything is possible with this nut job in control.
Good luck!
Turkey will be outta Nato by 2020
That turkey’s getting roasted!
If I had only followed my own book and plopped a few $1k's into a Forex short...damn
