Ok, sbd is trading between 4 and 5 usd.
If you power up 100% you get the usd value of your sbd in steem.
With steem at ~4usd that is 4sbd to one steem, or .25steem per sbd.
If you look on the internal market you get about 1steem per sbd, a 4x value increase.
Also, if you wait for sbd to spike by placing your buy bid below what the current trades are going for, you get even more.
ie, if you place your buy order at .50 on the internal market, when the ratio of sbd to steem is 2 to 1 your trade will go through, giving you 2 steem for your 1sbd, a much better proposition than .25steem.
The likelihood of that occurring is low, so if you want to power up quicker you have to set your bid higher, but anything below .90 is gravy.
I have my trades set in a ladder down to .10, but they are unlikely to push the sbd/steem ratio to 1/10.
I'm ok with that because I want to hold on to my sbd, for now.
Doing this is more important now that steem isn't 5 for a dollar, building sp gets harder as the price rises, and sp determines how much folks love you, here.
