According to the report, Americans (US) and Canada are the biggest TV addicts. They watch TV for four hours and three minutes each day. "The number of people watching television continues to increase despite the ever-increasing availability of online content," said MIPTV Vice President Frederic Vaulpre when the report aired on MIPTV which is the world's largest television market, in Cannes, France.
The third largest TV addict is a European, following the US and Canada with a portion of watch time for three hours 49 minutes every day in 2017 then. Russia and Brazil are also included in 95 countries with a percentage of time watching a lot of TV as reported by AFP. Vaulpre added, there is a bit of decline in watching TV in North America and Asia. But it is still growing in South America and Europe survives with historically high levels. Asians have less TV time. They only spend two hours 25 minutes in front of the box screen. In China, there was a decrease in the capacity of TV to be two hours 12 minutes.
