Israel air strikes on Gaza two days in a row after a reported missile was launched from an area landing on its territory.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) blamed Iran for the attack, claiming it supplied unknown assailants with weapons.
The Israeli army said its fighters targeted Hamas's position in southern Gaza late on Saturday in response to an unknown militant firefight on Friday.
While Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said that "too early" to name the guilty people in the attack, he immediately blamed Tehran for the incident. "Iran has supplied these missiles to many groups," Lieberman said quoted in Russian Today Sunday (31/12/2017).
Liebermen told Israeli media, that the initial inspection of the existing bullets. "Confirming that they are from Iran,"
"The Iranian regime continues to risk the security of the Gaza Strip population and put them in great danger.Wherever the Iranian regime operates or is involved, it only causes chaos and destruction," IDF chirp after the attack.
The IDF also accused Iran of deliberately inflating the Palestinian-Israeli conflict through its proxy "rogue and extremist terrorist groups" by channeling weapons to them in an attempt to rekindle stalled hostilities "after years of silence."
