The matches are often defined by small details, which can make a difference, especially when the tactical approaches of both teams are similar.
Sweden has achieved their pass of the World Cup in Russia, beating Switzerland by the slightest difference, has been among the eight best teams in the world.
The first half ended with a goalless draw, both Swiss and Swedish had several chances to score, but missed the final nail to raise the score.
The Swedish team was better during most of the match. Switzerland had more possession and control of the ball, but the clearest chances were for the opposing team, Forsberg, Ekdal and Berg had entertained the Swiss defending many times.
In the second half, the match continued in the same way, until the 66th minute when Sweden manages to score after a good collective move that ends between walls Ola Toivonen and Emil Forsberg shirt 10, the latter manages to overcome the fence of the Swiss goalkeeper Yann Sommer with a small complicity of his companion Manuel Akanji who slightly diverts the trajectory of the ball.
The Slovenian referee Damir Skomina did not prove autogol, by assessment, considered that such a detour would not impede the goal.
After the goal both technicians moved their banks, Sweden controlled the ball better and Switzerland tried to gain ground with more attack, in the 90th minute Switzerland had a chance with a great header from Haris Seferovic against Rodriguez center, but Robin was better Olsen with his intervention.
Already in time of replenishment in the 94th minute the first expulsion of eighths and the third of the World Cup of Russia 2018, occurs in a against Sweden when Michael Lang knocks down Martin Olsson, the judge decrees criminal and red card, then reviews by middle of the VAR and realizes that the foul was out of the area, charges direct free and retains the red because the foul that was committed was the last player online. Then without consequences the collection of the fault.
In this way Sweden has taken an important step and in its history ... goes to the rooms in Russia 2018, waiting for its rival between Colombia or England.
