You're right, it does set a bad precedent. It's also just kind of ridiculous that a group of grownups, lawyers and judges, would waste any amount of time with a case like this. Aren't there more important things going on in Scotland? The 1st amendment of the US constitution is incredibly important, and right now it's not only under assault by overzealous progressive college kids and their leaders who point their fingers at anyone with a dissenting opinion and shout 'Bigot!', but also by the narcissist pumpkin that Russia ushered in as our Mad King, who's called people out on Twitter for them to be fired because they disagree with him. It's scary, and sad, but no one should ever get locked up for exercising the first amendment, especially not for making a dumbass joke. PS-good article. Well-written.
