Thank you for reading @newsagg. This is a news aggregator service for steemit. It is constructed daily by hand and does take some time. Many of us practically live on steemit now. As such we can often forget to check what is going on out there outside of steemit. This account was created as an attempt to help mitigate that some. This is experimental so the account will likely go through transitions as it is determined what is most useful to the community. Feel free to submit news tips as comments. They will likely not be looked at extensively until the next aggregation post to which they are most suited. We will try to limit the amount of these posts that we post each day to no more than 4, unless some breaking news warrants there should be more. Really good info as usual! The Steem part is pretty fascinating - I only got started a few days ago and mostly because I got sick of Fb and Youtube echo-chambers. No actual problem with them having this event (bias alert: I was a burlesque dancer and don't have issues with strippers, male or female, just with some of the punters) - but it's poorly timed and the behaviour of those going to these sorts of things has been less than stellar, especially in the Conservative camp.
You'll find that many of us that started on Steemit in 2016 are voluntaryists. This means we really don't care what you do with your own body. Stripper, Prostitute, Drugs, Tattoos, etc. IF you are not harming another person or trampling over their rights or passing laws that force OTHER people to behave a way you want then we say "Good for you, more power to you." That doesn't mean we will agree with everything, but we will defend your right to make your own choices. :)
That just makes me love the site all the more :)
As with every growing population we have had more of the people that don't actually agree with this join too. A few of them are starting to be successful, but not hugely so.
Yet, more power to them... as long as they don't force you or I.

I'm still trying to decide if I'm happy I voted for Tom Cotton or not... On the one hand he ISN'T a Democrat. But just when I try to like him- he starts talking like a nut!
Make sure you independently verify it. Slate is one of the most exaggerated and intentionally biased sources I pull from. It may actually be THE most biased. Talking Points Memo runs a close #2. They will exaggerate, cherry pick, and write about things completely out of context. So by all means let it give you some indicators of things to check into... but make sure you check yourself, because if it is out of context the article could be biased bullshit. I've seen that quite a few times from them. So before I get influenced by them I go try to find the material they are supposedly pulling from.
EDIT: Sometimes they are accurate. Yet they so often are not, that I always verify.
I'm not going by them... I go by the things he says and his voting record. He's from Arkansas and one reason I voted for him was that he was a veteran- also he was running against Mark Pryor. One thing I could never figure... We have a law here that an atheist cannot hold public office. Pryor may claim to be a Christian to get elected, but his voting record tells another story. The atheist thing aside- I'm starting to see the same type of behavior from Cotton!
They are fishermen... use whatever bait gets them the most votes.

From what I heard EOS was either #1 or up there close to it. EOS was created by Dan Larimer who created Steem and Bitshares. :) I'm glad I bought some of that. I expect it to go places. I've also been more invested in Ethereum than bitcoin for more than a week.
Can you explain in short what EOS does ?
I can try. EOS is designed more as a Cryptocurrency Operating System. It can theoretically be a bridge between any number of other currencies. It is decentralized. It is EXTREMELY fast. It may be the fastest blockchain in existence.
So it can be designed to work WITH other crypto currencies. Almost like a highway system between different cryptos. It can also work as its own independent crypto. As far as I understand it will also handle contracts and other things like Ethereum does.

Yeah at a little over $14 per coin. I said I missed the ethereum train when it was $23 a coin and it is currently $1000+/coin. In crypto you may not have missed a train... hard to say. I expect EOS to keep going up.
I hope some of my shitcoins recover, i would diversify them into EOS .
It is about making you think from a different perspective..
