Apathy made a recall based on the verification of the ongoing process of senator Dino Malaye which began on Saturday in Kogi senatorial district.
Based on the report, electoral officials were found sleeping at in some polling centres as it was told that there was a low turnout of individuals fort he signature verification.
The INEC Federal Commissioner Mohammed Haruna overseeing Kwara, Kogi and Nasarawa states said that he is not to be held responsible for the low turnout of petitioners.
Furthermore, he said that the commissioner duty was to ensure a free and transparent process. However, some petitioners said that their signatures were forged in order to reflect on the voter's register.
One of the petitioners said “my signature was forged and that of my parents. İ can certainly understand why most people will definitely go this far when it comes to politics”
Meanwhile, another Kogi indigene located in Dallas tweeted from the United States said: “I was told that my name was signed in my voting arena in GRA Kabba”. He said he was going to the court for breaching his fundamental human right.
Although all this is happening, the main reason is to recall the embattled Senator.
Senator Dino has for some time been struggling to retain his position due to some petitions made by his constituents in 2017. They said he was not representing them in a good state
