For those of you who read my post 'Divine intervention.........and not the biblical variety' I thought you'd like to see some incredible aerial images that a local marine photographer took of the aftermath of the fire. The first image shows how close the blaze, burning in the Table Mountain National park for more than three days, came to the small village of Scarborough.

From the second image I hope you can get some idea of how immense this fire was and can begin to imagine the bravery of the #firefighters and hundreds of volunteers who fight to save people's homes on each and every wildfire.
