What does @OriginalWorks growth mean for the users?
As @OriginalWorks grows it only gets better. The daily resteem contest, which resteems the work users voted for the most on any given day is meant to provide the winner with exposure. By having a larger following, @OriginalWorks is able to help curate original content!
The Daily @OriginalWorks resteem contests
The way it works is simple. When you find a work you like, reply to the post with @originalworks or !originalworks to activate the mention bot. Once activated, if the post is original, the @OriginalWorks bot will respond to the article, announcing that it is original work. When users upvote the @OriginalWorks comment, they are voting for that post to be a daily winner. Whichever post manages to get the most votes on their @OriginalWorks comment that day wins the resteem contest.
Not just a resteem bot.
This isn't a resteem bot. This bot resteems only once or twice per day. It is curated original material. No one can simply send the bot SBD to have themselves resteemed. The users, you, nominate the best work that you think deserve the exposure.
Quality Followers
The @OriginalWorks followers are quality users. People follow @OriginalWorks because they support the project. @OriginalWorks bot never does follows for follows. In fact, @OriginalWorks bot follows 0 people. This is to help ensure that the bot continues to be impartial.

I like this idea very much but i noticed that OriginalWorks' upvote 0.5% does not affect post's reward amount. Is everybody getting this %?
This is a free service. It is used hundreds of times a day. The percentage is changed based on usage. If the bot is not used as often, the percentage goes up.
Keep in mind, as the bot SP grows, the percentage will have more and more meaning.
The purpose of @OriginalWorks is not to just give away free money, but to curate original material. The upvote is a bonus. For now it is worth a fraction of a cent, but in due time it will be worth more :)
The best original material gets resteemed, and sometimes users get prizes!
