With Chinese President Xi Jinping decision to extend his presidency into a lifetime term, China has move to increase their censorship on the type of information that the people can view off the internet.
George Orwell's iconic novel 'Animal Farm' has been removed from the web in China along with 'Winnie the Pooh'. They have banned the letter 'N' with the intent to make it almost impossible to access much of the internet. There is some speculation as to why the letter 'N' was banned, one theory put forth by the UK's Evening Standard is that Chinese dissidents were using the letter as a code to find each other on the internet. Shortly after placing the ban on the letter, the ban was removed. It is still unclear why they banned the letter.
Sounds to me like the fiction novel 'Fahrenheit 451' by Ray Bradbury written in 1953. If you have never read it, I highly recommend it. It is a dystopic novel about getting rid of all books. The title is the temperature at which paper burns.
Is this for real?
Sad but true.
