Analysts from Carbon Black company, which specializes in cybersecurity, found out that the fraudsters have stolen more than 1,1 billion dollars in cryptocurrency since the beginning of 2018.

According to Carbon Black, there are 12 thousand platforms in the Darknet. With their help, any interested person, who even does not have any special technical knowledge, can steal cryptocurrency.

224 dollars is the average price of malware for a user. Generally speaking, this market was valued at 6.7 million dollars. The organized groups and the unemployed engineers hunting after any earnings more often busy themselves with the theft.

"The programming is taught in many countries, but there is no work. So it can be two people from Romania, who have to pay the rent"- makes specific Rick McElroy, member of Carbon Black stuff.

The hackers more often attack cryptocurrency exchanges: it counts 27% cyber attacks. 21% is the number of attacks on companies: the fraudsters often hack into internal systems and demand cryptocurrency as ransom.

10% hackers prefer bitcoins, 11% - Ethereum and 44% - Monero. Speaking of geography, the greatest number of incidents was seen in the USA(24), China (10) and the UK (8).
