There is only eight Apple-1 working in the world. One of them was sold at auction in Germany, confirmed the auction house during this weekend. The auction house Breker reported that one of the few Apple-1 computers that still work was sold for 110,000 euros ($125,000).

Despite being well above the price of a personal computer nowadays, the 110,000 euros ($125,000) that topped the Apple-1 fell short of expectations. The fact that is one of the first personal computers in the history of computing - and also the first computer of Apple - led the organizers of this auction held in Germany to believe in a sale around 300 thousand euros. Four years ago, the auction of a copy of the same model yielded 516 thousand euros.

The Apple-1 commercially introduction was in 1976, designed by Steve Wozniak and for his own use. It was produced only 200 units of this first computer from Apple. The machine was lined with a wooden box.
