The annual "dog selling, and slaughter festival" has started off today in Yulin, China. Despite a supposed ban, the government never officially declared one. So, here it is.

Meat-eater or not, no animal should be subject to torture before it dies to be food. This would include cows and pigs in the US as well.

The dogs are electroshocked, burned alive, skinned alive among other terrible ways to go.

There are many movements and individuals that try to persuade the butcheries to stop. One man has been able to persuade a few of them to not participate. You can message him and ask how you can help. Who knows, he may take bitcoin.

"It's even more cruel to kill cows as cows help plow fields", one woman says. It is true, in some countries cows are even seen as Godly in a way. I have met many people from Taiwan that won't eat beef because they have helped their families in the past on the farms.

So what do you guys think? Should they be able to eat dog? or not? What if it was less cruel? Is eating cow, pig, and chicken comparable to eating dog? Remember, they eat rabbit in Spain. They eat horse in France. Please, leave your thoughts below, and feel free to upvote if you like this conversation or want more people aware of the cruelty towards dogs in Yulin during the Dog Meat Festival.

I think it's too much, makes me sick.

Yeah, I feel pretty sad about all those small little guys. In France, I believe they still eat horse. In Spain, they love rabbit, another pet of the human. I suppose it's because there isn't a "festival" in those countries for people to protest???

How come they can do those kind of things! Angry!!!
