Hello guys,
from this one we'll make some political-economical post.
Today we want to answer to this question: who is the Best President for Wall Street?
We use a mathematical approach… It’s very simple but efficacy and objective…
We evaluate the Best President with the performance of Dow Jones Index. These are the steps:
1# Calculate the returns using this formula:
Return = (Price at the end of the presidency – Price at the beginning of the presidency) / Price at the beginning of the presidency
The start value is 100.
2# Represent performance graphically:
This performance study makes it possible to determine if a “President A” is stronger or weaker than “President B” and to make a ranking list.
The best President is Calvin Coolidge, with a performance of 364.17.
The worst President is Herbet Hoover with a performance of 17.15.
Best
Those are some interesting results right there @quant01. Never would have thought Coolidge at 1 or Obama at 5.
Hi domavila, it's not completely strange... Coolidge was the President during the boom before the '29... And Obama is the same during this year...
On our opinion it's very strange that the worst President is more or less Republican (Hover, Bush, Nixon Taft)
I agree. The republicans don't do so well for the economy as a whole because they are too busy lining their own pockets and doing favors for their friends at Monsanto, Halliburton and other multinational corporations.
