I do not think the conflict in the Ukraine will escalate before the elections in the U.S.. Putin will not let himself be provocated into something major until he sees if Trump wins the presidency. Obama will also not let himself get sucked into something in his last few months of office. There is a rule that would come into effect if something major happens then Obama would temporarily stay President. This was the situation by G.W. Bush almost were the incoming president was Obama during the Financial meltdown 2008. I would presume that the bigger threat concerning Europe are the Banks. That could be one reason why the French, Italians and the Germans are meeting today. Terrorism like I'm hearing on Bloomberg can't be the problem unless water is threatened.
