This image shows Mount Agung at sunset 4h ago, provided by Magma Indonesia who are doing a great job keeping us up to date on Twitter.

Since the first small eruption of steam & ash 4 days ago there has been little activity except a 700m high plume. But today after heightened seismic activity starting last night there was a 2nd more violent eruption with a much more dense ash ejection shooting 1,500m into the sky.
The red lines indicate the larger quakes source
Watch this video I put together moments ago and you will see inside our erupting volcano with recent drone footage.
There is a live feed on YouTube which I have been watching consistently. It is raining season here at the moment so the volcano is usually only visible in the mornings (9h from now).
Just hit the play button below to see the live feed.
Beneath is a shot of Agung I took earlier this year. She is a real monster.
Wind Direction is key!
For now the wind direction is still good, with the toxic ash being mostly blown out to see, avoiding the populated area of south Bali.
Let us hope this wind prediction for next Saturday is not accurate. Or myself (living in Ubud) and a bunch of other people living in the South are going to experience some very interesting times.

For now everyone is safe and well prepared for this.
I will do my best to keep you informed on events as they unfold...
Please follow the @charitysteemit account where those of us in Bali are currently raising money to buy solar power & water filters for the huge number of evacuees created by this volcano LEARN MORE HERE
On Monday we will be cashing out over $400 of Steem and SBD thanks to you and investing it into solar kits. I will be documenting the whole journey from Steem to the smiling faces of these Balinese people 😃
Thanks for this great update. 🙏 I hope that the wind will stay in favour of the island and All of You!
🙏🙏🙏
Everyone is well prepared. All things will be fine 🙏🏻
Me too! Though it could be a good excuse to drive around Bali and find the non toxic zones. Sounds like an adventure to me :)
Stay safe and keep us updated Sam ! I hope I can be back in bali beginning next year for a visit in your hood :)
stay safe matey
Thank you. We will do our best...
Wow that first image looked like a huge hand about to dig up some earth. Am I the only one who sees this?
Tension prevails in the area as no one can predict these natural disasters.. Thanks for sharing the updates and thank God that everyone is safe and ready to face these disasters..
It is my duty as the most active steemian on Bali to share this info as accurately as I can.
And raise some money for the many evacuees.
Hope the wind keeps blowing the ash away from the main population areas.
I hope so too...
Thanks for sharing hope everyone is ready and got a plan :)
Errr... not really! We are kinda planning to just drive around the island to remain on the right side of the ash cloud. Failing this we will get a boat out of here! Putting a mask on a 2 year old just ain't gonna happen.
Wishing you all the best sending you good vibes :)
Thanks! Good vides received ;)
semoga tidak terjadi yang aneh aneh ya
semoga masyarakt bali diberi perlindungan

Whoa! Thats intense. I'd be scared living so close to an erupting volcano. I hope everyone can stay safe until it's all over.
