In honor of Veteran's day, all U.S. National Parks will have free admission on Saturday November 11 and Sunday November 12. If you live in the United States, chances are that there is a national park near you.

Visiting one of the national parks can be a costly excursion. A single day pass to Rocky Mountain National Park costs $20 per car or $15/person. Admission to one of the well-known parks like Yosemite or the Grand Canyon is $30 per car. The Park Service used to offer a $10 yearly pass for seniors, but the cost went up to $80 in August 2017. This is the last chance this year to visit a national park for free.
This Veteran's Day, consider honoring our military by visiting one of the many historic battlefields our country has to offer or simply by taking in a view of the majestic natural beauty of the United States that our veterans served and died for.
