I'm not sure I agree with the 'this was all planned' narrative of Bannon's dismissal. It seems to me that this is just another example of Trump appeasing the real powers that be. Obama's presidency was no different- get elected by making emotional appeals to the populist topics of the day, then once your in you can completely betray all the promises you made and repopulate your administration with the same ruling interests as always. We'll see it happen again in 4 to 8 years.
