A 19-year-old youth shot 17 people in a high school in Florida state of the US on Wednesday. Later, the police arrested him. The young man was expelled before the school.
The violence happened in the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, 72 kilometers away from Miami, Reuters reported. The live video shows on television show that the children are coming out of the school building to scream. Dozens of police and emergency service workers are scattered.
The police identified the young man who shot him. His name is Nicholas Cruz. Earlier, he was expelled on charges of breaking rules and regulations in the school. Broadway County Sheriff Scott Israel reported this information.
Broadway Country School Superintendent Robert Ronsi calls this situation as scary.
Israel said the young man who shot himself, without surrendering, was surrendered to the police. This horror incident can not be expressed in the language, he commented.
The body of 12 people found inside the school building. Two bodies are found out. One of the bodies has been found in the street. Two died after taking to hospital. Among the victims, students and adults are also there.
This is the 18th incident of firing at US schools. Among them there are other incidents including suicide.
