RE: Jaguar's XKSS vintage supercar to be resurrected for millions

in #news8 years ago (edited)

I LOVE this car. The entire story is better and more interesting. It is not a "remake" but a continuation build of the cars that was suspended when a fire occurred.

From CNN:
"Jaguar started building 25 XKSSs in 1957, but fire stopped progress. Now the British brand is going to make the remaining cars."

"Jaguar Land Rover Classic has announced it will make the remaining nine chassis, starting with number 17 and working upwards. The cars will be called "continuation" XKSS -- woe betide anyone who suggests they're a replica -- and the price will be "more than a million pounds" (so at least $1.6 million.)"

Same original, beautiful, electrical gremlins infested, oil-leaking, creaky original car. This is not a new Ford GT to be sure.

It would look nice next to my XKR.

God I want one.
