Enormous 1,300 feet holes have opened up in one Europe’s biggest glaciers, sparking fears that another major eruption is about to rock Iceland.Vatnajokull is spread out over 8% of Iceland and spans many volcanoes. During the past few years, increased seismic activity in the area has led to the ice cap melting, causing numerous floods in the region.With the appearance of these new holes on the glacier, scientists have warned that a catastrophic volcanic eruption could be on its way.
