2017 did introduce some awesome games but, 2018 will be even better. Take a look at the most anticipated video games of 2018 below. You will love them!

  1. METRO EXODUS

Metro Exodus is an upcoming first-person shooter incorporated with horror, stealth and survival game elements. The game is being developed by a Ukrainian Malta-based studio called 4A Games and published by Deep Silver. Metro Exodus is a sequel to 2013’s Metro: Last Night and is the third installment in the Metro video game franchise.

Metro Exodus is set in 2036, on a post-apocalyptic Earth that has been devastated by a nuclear war over 20 years ago. The player must survive the upcoming hazards while fighting off mutated creatures and hostile humans using hand-made weapons. These weapons can be customized using the crafting system if we have all the required resources.

  1. DRAGON BALL FIGHTERZ

Dragon Ball FighterZ is an upcoming 2.5D fighting video game developed by Arc System Works and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. This game is based on the Dragon Ball franchise and will be released worldwide for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on January 28, 2018.

The game features both one-vs-one battles and three-vs-three clashes where you must select three characters to form a team. Only one character can be controlled at a time and you can easily switch between any of the three characters during battle. To win, all of the opponent’s characters must be defeated.

  1. DAYS GONE

Days Gone is an upcoming action-adventure survival video game being developed by SIE Bend Studio and to be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game will be released only for PS4 in 2018.

The game is set in a post-apocalyptic open-world environment where you control a drifter and former bounty hunter, Deacon St. John, who prefers to live a dangerous life on the road. Almost all the humans were killed in a global pandemic and were transformed into mindless zombie-like creatures called “Freakers” who rapidly evolve.

In the E3 2016 stage demo of the game, two types of “Freakers” were revealed; Newts and Hordes.

  1. A WAY OUT

A Way Out is an upcoming third-person action-adventure video game being developed by Hazelight and to be published by Electronic Arts. This is the second video game to be directed by Josef Fares after Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. A Way Out will be released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on March 23, 2018.

The game can only be played in a split-screen co-op mode where one more player has to connect to your game either online or locally. The good news is, when you buy this game, your friend gets a free copy of it.

In the game, players control Leo and Vincent, two convicted prisoners who must break out of prison and stay on the run from authorities. Both players need to work as a team in order to progress through the story and each situation can be approached differently, with both characters taking different roles.

  1. FAR CRY 5

Far Cry 5 is an upcoming first-person shooter being developed by Ubisoft Montreal and to be published by Ubisoft. It’s the eleventh entry to the Far Cry video game franchise and it’s scheduled to be released on March 27, 2018, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Players can explore the game’s open-world environment on foot or via vehicles. Unlike the previous titles, this game lets you customize your character’s appearance including your skin tone, gender and etc. Far Cry 5 features a much wider range of melee weapons than its prequels, giving more emphasis on close-quarters combat.

Similar to the “Buddy” system in Far Cry 2, this game features a recruitment system, in which the player can recruit locals in the county to fight alongside them.

  1. SPIDER-MAN

Spider-Man is an upcoming action-adventure video game based on the Marvel Comics superhero, Spider-Man. The game is being developed by Insomniac Games and to be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PS4 in mid-2018.

Spider-Man is set in an open-world environment, more specifically, in New York city and players will be able to use all the signature moves and abilities of Spider-Man such as web-slinging and wall-crawling.

The game is not tied to any of Spiderman’s movies or comics.

  1. ANTHEM

Anthem is an upcoming online multiplayer action RPG being developed by BioWare and to be published by Electronic Arts. It will be released in the latter part of 2018 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The player takes the role of a Freelancer wearing a fully customizable exosuit called a Javelin, which houses unique weapons and abilities. Two types of Javelins were revealed during Anthem’s presentation at Microsoft’s E3 2017 Conference. An all-around well-balanced javelin called the Ranger and a heavily armored javelin called the Colossus.

The game features both single-player and co-operative multiplayer elements in a “shared-world” that can have up to four squad members per team.

  1. GOD OF WAR

God of War is an upcoming third-person action-adventure video game being developed by Santa Monica Studio and to be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It’s scheduled to be released for PS4 consoles in early 2018 and will mark the eighth entry to the God of War franchise. It’s a sequel to 2010’s God of War III.

God of War features a robust single-player mode with RPG elements such as archery knowledge points, and a Spartan Rage timed-ability. Cory Barlog, the game director, stated the game will be open but not open-world, and that quick time events will be different from the previous God of War games.

  1. RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an upcoming action-adventure video game to be developed and published by Rockstar Games. It will be released for both PS4 and Xbox One in mid-2018, the sequel to 2010’s Red Dead Redemption and the third entry in the overall Red Dead series.

Set in an open-world environment, the player controls Arthur Morgan, an outlaw and a member of the Van der Linde gang. The game features both single-player and multiplayer modes from a third-person perspective.

  1. MONSTER HUNTER: WORLD

Monster Hunter: World is an upcoming action RPG being developed and to be published by Capcom. It’s the fifth entry to the Monster Hunter franchise and it’s scheduled to be released worldwide for PS4 and Xbox One in January 2018. A PC version will follow at a later date.

The game is set in an open-world environment and is played from a third-person perspective. The player takes the role of a Hunter, whose mission is to hunt down and either kill or capture large monsters that roam outside the central base of Astera for the Research Commission to study.

Monster Hunter: World features much larger maps when compared to the previous titles and for the first time ever, allows players worldwide to play together with the game’s four-player co-op mode.
