reducing meat consumption by going for higher quality is certainly a must. But grazing can be used to regenerate healthy soil & undo climate change caused by soil erosion & desertification. However, replacing meat consumption with veg & carbs (rice, corn, etc...) would have a greater climate impact than the meat production it replaced. Food for thought. Pun intended.

I agree, there needs to be a good balance attained. Veganism isn’t good for the planet either, the animals serve a purpose just like everything else but we need to consume less. There is no reason to eat a 20 ounce steak that’s just gluttonous, if we ate smaller portions there would be a net benefit for all except the wallets of the meat industry.
well, we are almost reaching the point of consumer-grade lab-grown meat, that would probably be as energy efficient as you can get too!
