Yes, there's quite a debate going on the use of bots and auto-voting and while I don't use them I know some great people who do a lot of good using them to spread more rewards to more people. Personally, I don't think it's black/white or good/evil, a lot of times people autovote because there's just not enough time in the day to read all of your favorite authors. Anyways, don't be discouraged by the bots...for new comers I highly recommend joining a community such as the Minnow Support Project. Thanks for taking the time to comment, cheers.

Thanks for replying @v4vapid, that's great advice. I guess the posts that are more critical of the bots tend to get more attention (or at least from what I've seen), so I'll keep an open mind. I haven't got involved in the Minnow Support Project so will definitely check it out.
