Recreational use of Marijuana
The new law on recreational marijuana use adopted by the Canadian Senate will take effect from 1 September. According to politicians, this is a very important step, which supports the fact that juveniles had too easy access to marijuana and criminals were earning great money. This step will significantly reduce the negative effects of illegal marijuana. The law provides for the possibility of having 30 grams of dried plants and 4 plants while growing simultaneously. Marijuana will be available only to adults, which will be issued by producers who will receive a federal prescription for the production of stimulants.
The use of marijuana was banned in Canada in 1923. In 2001, it was allowed to be used in medicine.
Medical use of this drug is allowed in 14 European countries, Israel, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Panama, Mexico, Turkey, Zambia and Zimbabwe. In the United States, it is allowed to use marijuana drugs in 29 states and in the District of Columbia. Nine of these states legalized the recreational use of this drug.
A big step to change the ineffective drug policy in the world. We are waiting for other countries to make similar decisions and start using new opportunities.
