First, his comments are often defamatory, and have on occasion descended to sexual harassment and threats of violence that are probably both actionable in civil court, and criminally. Second, his virulence is extraordinarily public, and many people feel his actions so degrade the public image of Steem that he personally reduces the price of Steem by discouraging adoption and use of Steem by the potential market.
Lastly, he isn't very personable, and I don't like him. Since what of his comments to me that can be understood are pretty much limited to threats, he's literally menacing. That seems to be the extent of his personality. The only positive initiative I am aware of that he was involved in was @themadcurator, which I attempted to defend when the flagwar I am now embroiled in began between he and FTG.
This is the result of having anything to do with @berniesanders, even when attempting to encourage him to positively impact Steem. That's about as much thought and effort as I'm willing to provide, unless you have specific questions I can answer.

@berniesanders made a copy cat account of me in January called: @lyndsayblowes . Using my photo. The account has caused a lot of harm on the blockchain. He still uses it to spam. It's never been flagged in to negative reputation by @cheetah // @steemcleaners // @spaminator even though it has been reported many times mostly for spamming NSFW on the blockchain. Using my name and face at that.
@berniesanders used my photo of baking cookies with my children to harass me with, using his alt accout @abusereports.

You may not grasp that your comments constitute legally actionable torts regardless of what others may or may not have said. Nothing anyone can say might justify threatening to shoot them, and that is a criminal threat in every jurisdiction I am aware of.

My statement referred to you as a factor suppressing price of Steem, due to your bellicosity and written abuse. You flag a lot, and people don't like it. Newbs are put off, and stay off Steem because of it, and that reduces upwards pressure on price.

Those are indeed exactly what I was referring to. On the post you link to first, you can even see my comments to bernie recommending he moderate his comments to avoid litigation. I am not quickly moved to anger, and have made every effort to reasonably engage with him, but as you can see here today, it has been to no avail.
