RE: Antarctica Was A Rainforest According To New Study

in #news5 years ago

This discovery is thrilling, but knowledge Antarctica was temperate 90Mya is not a revelation, nor does it explain Piri Reis' map or any other of Antarctice prior to the 17th Century, since it hadn't been discovered yet at that time, according to official history.

Given earlier maps do exist, clearly official history is incomplete. Explanation for maps that show antarctice without ice remain a greater mystery yet, because humanity certainly did not find Antarctica millions of years ago, not having yet arisen.

Thanks!

Piri Reis and Oronteus Finaeus maps show Antarctica without ice. And yes there is a study I found from 2012 that states the 90 million years old revelation. So that information isn't new. What the Piri Reis and Finaeus maps prove is that the estimate that the freezing happened 34 million years ago is wrong since they are from the 15th Century.

In the 15th Century the printing press hadn't been invented. Prior to Gutenberg's invention, manuscripts were one off, and to get a copy you either had to hand copy it, or pay someone to do so. Maps, such as those, were copied from older sources as well. While those copies date to the 15th Century, they are copies of older maps.

Those older maps sure don't date back 34Mya. So, you're absolutely right that someone clearly has obtained information regarding Antarctica as uncovered by ice, but since the maps we have don't have source data, we don't know who or what they copied.

I suspect that these maps are lucky survivors of information that was once in the Library of Alexandria. Maybe the Vatican archives could shed some light on this void of knowledge. We should find out.
